SNOWMOBILE FUNDRAISER!

COAC needs your help! Our avalanche center is growing and expanding our forecast area which means we really need our very own snowmobiles, or snowmachines, depending on how far North you're from.

The snow is falling and temperatures are dropping, but our snowmobile fundraiser is heating up! Thanks to WNDR Alpine one lucky winner will be starting off their season on a pair of 2025 Intention 108s. With its short turn radius and stable platform you'll be charging through Cascade Concrete with ease and if we're all lucky, floating on that elusive champagne powder. Fun fact, WNDR builds their skis with renewably sourced materials such as microalgae oil. It's a cool concept and they can explain it better than us, so learn how they make magic happen here. Here's the breakdown of how tickets will work:

  • 1 ticket - $5
  • 6 tickets - $25
  • 13 tickets - $50
  • 28 tickets - $100
  • 75 tickets - $250
  • 160 tickets - $500
The raffle will be conducted virtually and if you have already donated to the snowmobile fundraiser you will automatically be included in the raffle, but you can always increase your chances with more donations :).

The raffle ends Dec. 3. 

Our forecasters have superhuman stamina and often go where no (wo)man has gone before. OK, that last bit was a stretch but you get the picture - we need a sled, or two.

To ensure COAC is able to provide consistent forecasting seven days a week for the Central Cascade Zone and weekend forecasting for Paulina, the team needs the right tools to get out in the field to evaluate the snowpack. Last year, the team was fortunate enough to have a loaner snowmobile, but that snowmobile unfortunately is no longer functional. This year, we are looking to set the team up for success with two reliable snowmobiles (one for each area) and a trailer to transport the machines.

Our goal is to raise $15K to support our forecasters for this year and years to come.
